Uzi seized in Rockfort
THE police seized a Uzi sub-machine gun in Rockfort, Kingston 2, last night.
Reports from the Rockfort Police are that about 8:20 pm, a sales manager and another man met at the National Water Commission Treatment Plant in Rockfort to conduct business. However, it is reported that the man pulled a firearm and a struggle ensued between the two, which resulted in the sales manager being shot and the man escaping, leaving behind his gun.
The firearm, its serial number erased, and one 9 mm round, was handed over to the police.
Detectives from the Elletson Road CIB are probing the matter.
