Will and Jada Smith to be Oprah’s final guests

There has been much speculation over who will be given the honour of being Oprah Winfrey’s last-ever guest as her show comes to a close after 25 years. If recent reports are to be believed, the ‘chosen ones’ to appear on the May 25 show are going to be Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith. Fans and media reports have been trying to guess who will make the last entrance on the talk show titan’s stage but The Daily reports it will be the Smiths. Options had included Oprah’s long-term boyfriend Stedman Graham, couch-jumper Tom Cruise, Jennifer Aniston, Gabrielle Giffords or her protégé Dr Phil McGraw. Smith and his wife and children have been on Oprah’s show many times in the past. Karate Kid star Jaden and Whip My Hair singer Willow have previously joined their parents on the famous couch. With only ten shows left, fans are excited to see who will be on the final episodes. Two of the hours will reportedly be dedicated to A Million Little Pieces author James Frey. Advertisers who want a 30-second commercial during the last week of the Oprah show will have to fork out $1million for the privilege.

Chicago Mayor Richard Daley has also renamed the street outside of Harpo Studios, Oprah Winfrey Way. “Your presence in Chicago has been a gift,” the Mayor told the media titan during an unveiling ceremony yesterday. Oprah said, “That’s better than an Oscar or an Emmy.”

The penultimate shows that will air on May 23 and 24 will be taped on May 17 at the United Center.

Nicki Minaj pours her curves into another zany outfit

Nicki Minaj pulled another wacky costume out of the bag for a performance in Los Angeles last Thursday night. The singer hit the stage at the Samsung Infuse 4G launch event wearing a bizarre ensemble that looked set to land her on a worst-dressed list. Wearing patterned leggings, a long-sleeved fluffy sweater and newsboy cap, the 26-year-old sang her hits on stage to a very enthusiastic crowd. Minaj writhed and gyrated with her backing dancers at the event held at Milk Studios. Other famous faces who came to support the Moment 4 Life star were Destiny Child’s Kelly Rowland, R&B singer Ciara and actor David Arquette. Minaj covered her short blonde bob with a blue newsboy cap and carried a matching Louis Vuitton bag. The R&B songstress has another accolade to add to her growing résumé– she has made the Maxim Hot 100 list — coming in at number 75 for her first appearance on the chart.

Lindsay Lohan hires new publicist to get her career back on track

It takes a brave person to step up to the challenge of representing Lindsay Lohan, but it would seem the troubled actress has finally managed to find somebody to do just that. Hollywood publicist, Steve Honig, has accepted the unenviable job of overseeing all of Lindsay’s future public relations matters. Honig is the president of The Honig Company and has over 20 years experience of handling the issues that seem to constantly plague the actress. Honig will be the first official publicist to represent Lindsay after she parted ways with her former PR manager, Leslie Sloane, several years ago. His existing clients include Fiore Films, the same company that is currently producing the Gotti biopic, in which Lindsay has taken the role of Victoria Gotti in the film about the former head of the Gambino crime family.
