Local ad agency receives international recognition

AdMark wins for Wray & Nephew white rum commercials

ADVERTISING & Marketing Ltd (AdMark) recently received thirteen Telly Awards for the creative development and production of the popular Wray & Nephew White Overproof Rum ‘Show Me the Wray’ and ‘Every Champion Knows’ commercials.

AdMark’s recognition from the Telly Awards for the Wray & Nephew White Overproof Rum commercials, which premiered late last year, were for outstanding creative work in the Food/Beverage and Alcoholic Beverage/Beer categories along with a variety of production areas including Editing, Videography/Cinematograph, Jingle and Copywriting.

AdMark now joins the likes of Zimmerman Advertising, Time Warner Cable, BSX Digital Productions, Quigley-Simpson Brand Advertising, Harpo Productions, Nickelodeon and Firehouse Advertising as media houses and ad agencies that have received recognition from the distinguished Telly Awards.

Founded in 1979, the annual Telly Awards honours outstanding US-local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programmes, along with the finest video and film productions, and also web commercials, videos and films.

A panel of over 500 judges, consisting of producers, creative directors, editors and executives from across the globe judge Telly Award entries.

With nearly 11,000 entries from across the globe, a small fraction is chosen as Silver Telly recipients, the highest honour given. Bronze Telly recipients are chosen for their outstanding work and contribution to the industry worldwide.

AdMark received 13 Bronze Telly Awards.

“To receive a Telly Award is truly an honour,” expressed AdMark creative director and CEO Arnold ‘JJ’ Foote.

“This is recognition of the dedication and the hard work of the AdMark Creative team, but it also serves to show the talent that exists in our island and throughout the Caribbean.”

The high-energy club-feel “Show Me the Wray” commercial received nine Bronze Tellys in several categories including Food/Beverage, Editing, Videography/Cinematograph, Music, Jingle and Lighting. While the theatrical boxingthemed “Every Champion Knows” commercial received four Bronze Tellys for Copywriting, Editing, Alcoholic Beverages/Beer and Videography/Cinematograph.

Dominic Beckford, brand and sales manager of Wray & Nephew White Overproof Rum, stated “We are ecstatic about this, as this was the first ever advertising campaign for Wray & Nephew White Overproof. For us to have partnered with AdMark and created award-winning ads on the first cut, shows what a great partnership is.”
