THE St Jago High School Football Committee presents its first annual Football Fiesta, Family Funday and Fete on Saturday, July 16, at the school grounds.

The event will be a fusion of football, music and live entertainment. The day begins at 10:00 am and ends at 8:00 pm. There will be football matches featuring prominent football past students who represented the school and Jamaica until 4:00 pm.

Five male teams consisting of past Manning Cup players will contest a round-robin tournament, with the top two teams will playing the final.

The teams span different eras — pre-1990; 1990 to 1999; 2000 to 2004; 2005 to 2009 and the present Manning Cup squad.

Manning Cup greats Mark Miller, Machel Baker, Fidel Anderson, Horace Sharpe, Dennis ‘Stylo’ Ebanks, Livingston ‘Ghost’ Scott, Leon Strickland and Christopher Wisdom will be on show.

There will also be two female teams featuring players who have represented the Reggae Girlz squad over the years.

At 5:00 pm there will be a Celebrity Match featuring deejays, dancers, promoters and dancehall artistes.

Contribution is 300 presold and 500 at the gate. All proceeds go to the school’s football programme.
