Bolt clocks season best 9.88 in Monaco

Narrowly beats compatriot Nesta Carter

JAMAICA’S ace sprinter Usain Bolt had to pull out all the stops to beat his compatriot Nesta Carter in the 100 metres at the Monaco Diamond League today.

The world record holder in the 100 metres and 200 metres, Bolt won by a narrow margin in a season best 9.88 followed closely by Carter who also clocked a season’s best 9.90.

American Mike Rodgers was third in 9.96.

Another Jamaican, Michael Frater was fourth in 10.01
