Jah Love for Rubba Dubb Sundays
THE first edition of Rubba Dubb Sundays at Kingston’s Club Riddim was a resounding success last Sunday as at least 300 patrons turned out to watch veteran crooner Coco Tea perform a steady stream of hits.
He was joined onstage by Beenie Man, Lady G, George Nooks, and Lukey D who sang their hits much to the delight of the crowd. Selectors Little Twitch and General Trees started toasting on the sound.
“There is a big buzz on the streets for this Sunday’s performances based on what happened Sunday. It was amazing Beenie Man deejayed the longest; he was up there for several hours doing all his hits on the riddims,” a Yess Promotion spokesperson said.
The event is organised by Yess Promotions and Josie Wales’ Kernel Promotions. There will be a different veteran artiste headlining the event every weekend.
This Sunday, Jah Love sound system with Leroy Gibbons will hold centre stage.
