High fashion entertainment rule runway
HIGH fashion and entertainment ruled the opening of the 12th annual Caribbean Fashionweek (CFW) at the National Indoor Sports Centre in St Andrew last Friday evening.
Over a dozen designers exhibited their collections including Jhaniel Smith, Jean Marie Thomas, Juanita Reid, Arlene Martin, and Diana Williamson. The 2012 Mission Catwalk finalists were Ryan Chan, Crystal Chan, Gregory Williams and Rebecca Stirm.
Top local models returning to the catwalk included Ralph Lauren’s Oraine Barrett and Vogue’s Jaunel McKenzie and Nell Robinson.
The festivities did not end after the fashion show as Trinidad’s ‘soca prince’ Shurwayne Winchester had patrons dancing throughout his performance.
The catwalk became a dancefloor as women gyrated against the energetic Winchester who performed Work It, Wining Addiction and Wine On It.
Shortly after Winchester made his exit, dancehall act Konshens took the stage.
He interacted well with the audience between Bad Gal, Bubble, Wine Inna Road, Good Girl Gone Bad and Do Sumn.
