THECOLLECTION creates a splash

THE Wyndham Kingston’s poolside was the venue for the ‘A-list only’ fashion show on Thursday evening.

The event — THECOLLECTION which was put on by Kerry-Ann Clarke of KERRY manwomanhome — created quite a splash literally as it was opened with a water-ballet display.

Red Carter’s sexy swimwear collection were the first down the runway which constructed over the pool. The models, led by Miss Universe Jamaica Chantal Zaky, were in some unusual headgear courtesy Cinderella Hats.

“She over delivered,” said Carter ecstatically at the end of the show. “Kerry-Ann [Clarke] pulled it off,” he continued.

Dexter Huxtable’s Spokes Apparel clothing offerings were next.

Huxtable was not afraid to push the colour palette out of the traditional casual, black, blues, and greys. Musician Simon Samuels of rap/reggae/rock fusion band Blu Grass in the Sky strutted the runway for Huxtable.

BEYOND — Jamaica’s first fashion film for designer Lubica which was directed by brothers, Storm and Nile Saulter — was premiered at the event.

The slick production’s lush visuals were quickly brought to life on the runway.

The clothing line ran the gamut from naughty to nice with her simple but effective colour schemes.

After the fashion show, guests were left to mingle, enjoy party desserts, and ogle the other star of the night — the Audi A5.

For Lucia, it was a lovely evening.

“I loved it,” she said. “Having planned it for a while now, and to see it come to life and excite the crowd was wonderful. I’m hoping that the experience translates into sales at the trunk show,” she said.
