Remove the beam from your own eye first
Dear Editor,
That the leader of the Opposition Andrew Holness has been asked to meet with the PNP to discuss the use of the national symbols, since they are concerned about the use of the flag by JLP caretaker, Paula Kerr-Jarrett, is the highest form of hypocrisy.
Did the PNP meet with the JLP when the flag was disrespected at the swearing-in of the mayor in Montego Bay? Up until now the prime minister has not apologised on behalf of her party to the people of Jamaica.
I would encourage the PNP to remember that the flag is indeed sacred and being the party in power does not mean that they can do as they choose when it comes to our national symbols, yet have the audacity to call out others.
They need to clean up their own backyards before telling others to do so.
