Cops nab four members of housebreaking gang
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Members of the Flying Squad division detained four men over the weekend they say are ex-prisoners who have committed numerous robberies and housebreaking across the Corporate Area.
According to the police, the men have been creating havoc across the city robbing over 20 homes, investigations have revealed.
Several items of stolen property were recovered following several targeted operations, the police said.
The Flying Squad is therefore advising people, especially those living in the Kingston Metropolitan Area, to be cautious as the members of the gang sometimes pose as police officers or security guards.
In the meantime the police are asking persons whose homes have been broken into in recent times to visit the Flying Squad at 127-129 Harbour Street, downtown Kingston, in an attempt to identify and recover their items, even if they had not reported the crime.
