Andy Williams dead at 84
ST LOUIS, USA (AP) — American singer Andy Williams died at his Branson home after year-long battle with bladder cancer on Tuesday. He was 84.
His Los Angeles-based publicist, Paul Shefrin, confirmed his death yesterday.
With a string of gold albums, a hit TV series and the signature Moon River, Williams outlast many of the decade’s rock stars and fellow crooners such as Frank Sinatra and Perry Como. He is closely associated with the holiday standard The Most Wonderful Time of the Year.
