Blaine to risk electrocution

People Post

Magician David Blaine said he will risk electrocution for his latest stunt. The master illusionist plans to have a one-million-volt charge surge through his body non-stop for 72 hours. His latest death-defying stunt, called Electrified: One Million Volts Always On, will take place in New York next week. In a YouTube trailer for the stunt, Blaine stands on a metal pedestal wearing a futuristic mesh suit and a globe-shaped wire helmet as electrical bolts hit him from all directions. Blaine said he will stand between two electrodes and allow a million volts to flow through his grounded body. Any disruption in the stream could stop his heart. The event will be streamed live over the Internet. Blaine, 39, is known for his endurance stunts, including sitting in a glass box over the River Thames in London for over a month. His last stunt was hanging upside down without a net high over New York’s Central Park for 60 hours in 2008. His other stunts include being entombed in an underground plastic box underneath a three-ton water-filled tank in 1999, being encased in a block of ice for 63 hours in 2000.

Usher’s ex-wife discusses his infidelity with bridesmaid

He spoke out for the first time during an at-home interview with Oprah Winfrey last week. Now Usher’s ex-wife Tameka is to reveal all in a three-part chat with Entertainment Tonight, that began last Tuesday. The mother of the singer’s two children Usher Raymond V, four, and Naviyd, three, has shockingly admitted that she feels some sympathy for her bridesmaid who had an affair with the star. The 41-year-old told host Nancy O’Dell about one of two rumoured infidelities: “He admitted to sleeping with one of the two. It was a very disappointing revelation. I had suspected it for some time.”

She added: “I hate to say it, but I somewhat empathise with her. … She fell into somewhat of a trap. I think that she got very close to him as a result of being my friend and I feel like he used it to his advantage.”

During the chat she also opens up about the courts awarding the 33-year-old primary custody of their kids following a bitter battle. In an appeal to Usher, who recently won custody of their boys, she said: “Be a good example for your boys and make sure the things you do are from your heart and not someone else’s?

Gaga hits back at weight critics

She’s come under scrutiny recently after appearing to balloon in weight compared to her usual slender self. But now Lady Gaga has found one effective way to hit back at her critics — by posing in just her underwear to completely flaunt her physique. The Poker Face hitmaker recently posted four images on her LittleMonsters.com blog. And she even admitted in one caption that she has been struggling from eating disorders since childhood, while also opening up to her fans about her weight. In an open and personal response to recent attacks on her fluctuating figure, Lady Gaga has posted pictures of herself wearing just a bra and underpants on her social networking site with a caption that reads: ‘Bulimia and anorexia since I was 15.’ The 26-year-old pop superstar wrote: “My boyfriend prefers me curvier. When I eat I am healthy and not so worried about my looks, I’m happy. Happier than I’ve ever been.” The singer’s public response comes after a series of unflattering photographs made the singer look much curvier than usual while performing on her tour this week, with claims that she had ‘piled on the pounds’.
