Half Pint inks new deal
HALF Pint has secured a new five-year contract with US-based Universal Network.
The deal was finalised last Wednesday and the veteran reggae singer’s managment team is excited about the new arrangements.
“This deal took about three-and-a-half months to put together. There were times in the negotiation when we had a few head butting but ultimately between Alfred Torand, the chief negotiator, and Cory Greenwell, I was able to walk away with a deal which we are very pleased about,” said Loyal Haylett, Half Pint’s manager.
The veteran reggae singer had a previous five-year contract which had expired.
While unable to state the specifics, Haylett said the singer’s catalogue remained with them.
“The structure is so unique and has unusual benefits for the artiste. We are very pleased with the outcome of this,” he said.
Half Pint is known for a string of hit songs including Winsome, Greetings and Substitute Lover.
