Red Bull cell phone clash today

TERTIARY students will get an opportunity to express their musical talents through the Red Bull Cellie Clash which starts at the Mico University College in St Andrew today.

The series of competitions will be held at the Pavilion at 2 pm.

November 8 will see battles at the St Andrew campuses of The University of the West Indies and the University of Technology while the following day the action moves to the Edna Manley College.

Entrants are encouraged to come with their music on their phones and it will then be connected to the Red Bull Music Truck.

Students from the participating institutions have expressed excitement about the competition and have praised Red Bull for its continued support.

“I thought it was an awesome idea and immediately thought of ways to begin involving my schoolmates. I actually started my activation Wednesday night and went around to the dorms doing like a mini clash with the students playing one and two tunes. They really liked it, and I have since gotten approval to carry this to Edna,” said Cole Williams, Edna Manley’s student representative.
