Downswell appointed Under-20 assistant coach
Former national senior coach Wendell Downswell has been appointed as assistant coach of Jamaica’s national Under-20 team.
Downswell will take up duties immediately, working alongside coach of the team, Luciano Gama.
This appointment is part of an overall proposal for the alignment of national coaches as recommended by technical director, Walter Gama.
The National Under-20 team is currently in preparation for the Caribbean Football Union Men’s Finals set for Jamaica.
Coach Downswell has a rich history of coaching youth teams and is currently the National Under-17 head coach.
He will take up this position alongside his other duties for the Federation which includes being a senior instructor in the JMMB/JFF/UTech Coaching school and a national co-ordinator for the western region.
