NICOLE SCHERZINGER IN THE UK’S FIRST EVER TWITTER DRESS – Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger wore UK’s first Twitter dress designed by Cute Circuit at the launch of EE — the new 4G mobile network recently. The dress was constructed from 8 metres of French silk chiffon, laden with 500 Swarovski crystals and over 2,000 LED lights, which lit up to spell out tweets sent in by fans in real time throughout the evening.
TIME MAGAZINE USES INSTAGRAM IN HURRICANE SANDY COVERAGE – Social media proved to be the source of choice for the iconic Time magazine’s coverage of hurricane Sandy. According to Forbes, Time’s director of photography, Kira Pollack, rounded up five photographers from the region and gave them access to the magazine’s Instagram feed, with the belief that it would be the fastest and most direct way to provide coverage.

THE WRATH OF ‘FRANKENSTORM’ SANDY – After creating havoc in the Caribbean, Hurricane Sandy made its mark in US history as one of the most destructive storms Mother Nature has ever produced. Though only a category one, the storm caused massive flooding in the tri-state area, the destruction of hundreds of homes, and the loss of innocent lives. Let’s face it: JPS has done a great job with CEO Kelly Tomblin leading from the front.
LINDSAY LOHAN – The highly unpredictable actress Lindsay Lohan, who was been a fixture in off-screen antics over the years, has lost yet another publicist. Her most recent publicist, Steve Honig, who was with the actress for two years, allegedly called it quits after being harassed by the actress’s father Michael.
ANDERSON COOPER LIVE – After an unsuccessful two seasons, Warner Brothers Studio has pulled the plug on Anderson Cooper’s daytime series. Luckily for us, the silver fox will continue his excellent work in his nightly CNN programme Anderson Cooper 360.
