W’House, BT settle for point apiece
WATERHOUSE held Boys’ Town to a goal-less draw in a second-round Red Stripe Premier League match at Collie Smith Drive on Thursday.
The point moved Boys’ Town into joint second place with Portmore United on 23 points, while Waterhouse moved a place to joint seventh with Montego Bay United (MBU) and Sporting Central on 17.
It was a physical game that did not allow either team to play its best football. Nonetheless, both went close to scoring, with Boys’ Town getting the closer look at goal.
It was only the timely interception in the first half by Waterhouse goalkeeper Richard McCallum, who made a desperate dive behind him to scramble the ball from entering the net that saved the day.
