‘We’ve been separated for some time’

Kimora Lee Simmons and Djimon Hounsou have split after more than five years together.

The Life In The Fab Lane star, 37, and the Amistad actor, 48, have a son, Kenzo Lee Hounsou. “Djimon Hounsou and Kimora Lee Simmons have officially separated after five and a half years,” the actor’s spokesperson told People. In a message to fans on her Twitter page, the former model said the pair had been apart for ‘some time.’ She wrote: “There have been quite a few hurtful rumors circulating. The truth is Djimon + I have been separated for some time. We have remained happy, loving, co-parenting friends + family.”

Rumours of a split between the pair first emerged back in June this year. According to the New York Daily News, Hounsou walked out on Simmons after ‘a big fight over money’. Reports also claimed Simmons’ former husband, hip-hop mogul Russel Simmons, decided to stop funding the pair’s lifestyle.

The pair met in 2007 following her split from husband Russell Simmons. Kimora, a former model who now runs a shoe and handbag website JustFab, also has two daughters from her marriage to the hip-hop mogul; Ming Lee, 12, and Aoki Lee, 10.

‘Please stop watching… it’s filth’

Two and A Half Men star Angus T. Jones has branded his hit show ‘filth’ and urged fans to turn off in an extraordinary outburst in a religious video. The 19-year-old — who makes $350,000 per episode playing Jake – is featured in a new video for the Forerunner Christian Church, part of the Seventh-day Adventist movement. In the online clip, titled Angus Jones Testimony, he says: “If you watch Two and a Half Men, please stop watching. I’m on Two and a Half Men and I don’t want to be on it.”

He still appears to be contracted to the program and his comments are likely to attract ire from his bosses at Warner Brothers.

The teen continues: “Please stop watching it and filling your head with filth. People say it’s just entertainment. Do some research on the effects of television and your brain, and I promise you you’ll have a decision to make when it comes to television and especially with what you watch on television … it’s bad news.”

He adds: “If I am doing any harm, I don’t want to be here. I don’t want to be contributing to the enemy’s plan. You cannot be a true God-fearing person and be on a television show like that. I know I can’t. I’m not OK with what I’m learning, what the bible says and being on that television show.”

In the video the young star laughs as he admits his worried family have described his recent ‘awakening’ to the Seventh-day Adventist movement as a ‘cult’. “Of course all my family, not all my family, but some of my family were like “he’s going to a cult” trying to tell me to get out of there,” said Jones.

‘He worries…’

Simon Cowell is ‘frustrated’ and ‘worried’ about the future of the X Factor UK, according to his ex-girlfriend Sinitta.

The 80s pop star, who is close friends with the music mogul, said he is even considering a possible return to the show, which has suffered a fall in viewing figures this series.

Sinitta tells People: “This has been the worst series ever, and Simon wants to come back. He has so much affection for the UK show, he is the boss and he wants to be back on UK TV.”

Since quitting the ITV show following the 2010 series to start up X Factor USA, Simon had found it difficult to manage the British version from Los Angeles.

Sinitta said: “Simon says X Factor is his first baby. He worries about the show and there is a lot for him to worry about at the moment. The wrong people are going. He finds it frustrating. He doesn’t want the whole thing to fall apart.”

Simon publicly expressed his shock on Twitter after bookies favourite Ella Henderson was voted off the show last weekend. He tweeted: “Ella! Gone??? Unbelievable.”

He then made a hint he wasn’t happy as who was progressing so far in the competition as he tweeted during Saturday’s quarter-finals: “Very interesting end coming up for X Factor in the UK. I think the final is going to be very interesting! I have my own favourite.”

Halle Berry wants permanent protection order

A judge has granted a temporary protection order barring Canadian model Gabriel Aubry from coming within 100 yards of Halle Berry, Nahla Aubry, their four-year-old daughter, and Berry’s current fiancé Olivier Martinez.

The emergency protective order is said to lifted today but now TMZ reports that the former Bond girl will be taking her ex to court again to make the restraining order permanent. If the court grants the request, this means Aubry will not be allowed near his daughter for an undetermined period of time. A source told the website: “If Gabriel can’t control himself enough to protect Nahla from emotional trauma, it’s too risky for him to be around the child, Halle, or her fiancé.

Last Friday, Halle resumed her everyday life and took her daughter to see a live performance of TV favourite Yo Gabba Gabba in Hollywood, but took four police guards on motorcycles with her for the outing. Earlier last week, the actress tried to convince a judge to allow her to move to France with Nahla to live with her new lover, but the move was blocked by the courts.
