JAAA ratifies committees
ALL 16 executive committees and sub-committees of the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Associa-tion (JAAA) have been formed and ratified following a meeting of the newly elected administration held on December 12, 2012.
President Dr Warren Blake told the Jamaica Observer that while some persons are still to be appointed to the various committees, those appointed and named had been approved.
Those include the finance, athletes, medical, marketing and promotion, judiciary, legal, disciplinary, IT/Website, school, road racing, and selection committees.
Each vice-president of the association will head a committee.
First vice-president Dave Myrie will head the Finance Committee; second vice-president Ian Forbes the Development Committee, third vice-president Michael Frater the Athletes’ Welfare Committee and fourth vice-president Vilma Charlton the Officials and Women’s Affairs Committees.
