Skeletal remains found could be missing Santa Cruz farmer
SANTA CRUZ, St Elizabeth – The skeletal remains of a man police and residents suspect is that of a 23 year-old farmer, Oliver Foster, who went missing last September, was found in a forested area of Park Mountain district, close to Santa Cruz, St Elizabeth on Saturday.
Police investigators say they will await forensic analysis before coming to a “definitive” conclusion regarding the identity of the remains.
The Santa Cruz police say a farmer was attending to goats when she came across the remains under a tree. A length of electrical wire with a noose was also found, triggering suspicion that hanging may have been the cause of death.
Police say clothes found at the scene have been identified by relatives as resembling those worn by Foster when he was last seen.
According to the police, relatives have reported that Foster had personal problems at the time of his disappearance.
