KINGSTON, Jamaica — As the year approaches its close, many professionals find themselves seeking renewed motivation and encouragement to stay focused on achieving their personal and career goals.

For Sagicor Life Jamaica founder R Danny Williams, the importance of inspiring and supporting team members was always clear. His commitment to helping employees stay motivated led to the creation of the Production Club Seminar — an initiative that has evolved over the years into the Sagicor Motivational Seminar (SMS).

Today, SMS remains an annual investment in Sagicor’s financial advisors, providing an opportunity for them to pause, reflect, refocus and finish the year with renewed determination.

Willard Brown, CEO of Sagicor Life Jamaica, encourages financial advisors to rise above challenges and keep pushing towards their goals as he addresses team members at the annual Sagicor Motivational Seminar.

Held recently under the theme “Push. Rise. Win. – Powering You.”, this year’s seminar encouraged financial advisors to reflect on their achievements, reconnect with their purpose and identify the goals they hope to accomplish in the months ahead.

Willard Brown, chief executive officer of Sagicor Life Jamaica, said the seminar allows advisors to look beyond performance targets and recognise the broader impact of the work they do.

“Every conversation our advisors have can shape how a family protects its future. This seminar creates space for them to sharpen their thinking, renew their energy, and return to their clients ready to make an even greater difference,” Brown said.

He said the theme asks advisors to remain determined through challenges while keeping sight of the broader impact of their work.

“There will always be challenges, but we want our advisors to keep pushing, to rise when those challenges come and to define winning not only by the numbers, but by the lives they impact along the way,” Brown added.

Keynote speaker Rochelle Cameron built on the seminar’s “Powering You” message, challenging advisors to identify the deeper sense of purpose that keeps them moving forward, particularly when faced with difficult moments.

“When you know what is powering you, you have something bigger than the moment to keep moving towards,” Cameron told the advisors.

Terri-Ann Spencer, a financial advisor at Sagicor Life Jamaica’s Holborn Branch, said the seminar gave her a valuable pause from the daily demands of life.

“When you are constantly focused on your clients and your targets, it is easy to move from one day to the next without stopping to recognise your own progress. The seminar gave me that opportunity to reset and reminded me that there is still time to accomplish the goals I set for myself. I left feeling re-energised and ready to push even harder as we close out the year,” Spencer said.
