Zone B leaders Montego Bay United Under 21 and second placed Reggae Youths will meet this afternoon at Wespow Park in Tucker in what should be an exciting battle as the St James Football Association’s Sandals/ATL Senior League continue with two rescheduled games.
The Wespow game along with Revelations against Little Miami set for the UDC field were due to be played on Tuesday but were pushed back two days to accommodate games in the Western Confederation Super League.
Montego Bay United Under 21 has won two and drawn one game to lead with seven points, two more than Reggae Youths, who have won one game but drew their last two, and has scored just one goal in three games played so far.
After beating Little Miami 1-0 in their opening game, Reggae Youths who have qualified for the all-island knock out competition have gone cold and will come up against the high scoring Montego Bay United Under 21 defence that has allowed just one goal so far.
Little Miami has earned four points from their last two games, a win and a draw, while scoring three goals, and they will come up against a Revelation team that has lost both games played so far.
Meanwhile, Fogo United has taken over the lead in Zone A on goal difference over North Gully Ambassadors, after flogging Granville City 4-0 at Flanker on Tuesday for their first win in four games.
Fogo United led 1-0 at half time through Christopher Harris’ 42nd minute goal then scored three times in the last 10 minutes of the game.
Jermaine Wood made it 2-0 with his second goal of the season in the 80th minute, while Obrian Street scored a brace in the 81st and 86th minutes.
Fogo United and North Gully are on five points each, one more than Violet Kickers and Salt Spring United with Melbourne United next on three points.
Two more games will be played tomorrow evening at Jarrett Park in the regular Friday night double header– Violet Kickers and North Gully Ambassadors will meet in the first game set for 5:00pm followed by Salt Spring United and Melbourne United at 7:00pm.
