Carlos Hill trial postponed

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The trial of Carlos Hill former Cash Plus boss has been postponed in the Home Circuit this morning until a date to be announced. 

However he will be returning to court on May 17 for plea and case management hearing.

The case was postponed this morning because of a lack of proper disclosure.

The defence has argued that the non-disclosure of outstanding material would not guarantee Hill a fair trial.

Hill is facing seven years in jail for fraud. He is accused of fraudulently inducing persons to invest in the Cash Plus scheme.
