Phillips announces new Caymanas Track divestment team
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Minister of Finance and Planning, Peter Phillips today announced a re-composition of the Caymanas Track Enterprise Team (CTET).
The new CTET chairman will be Keith Duncan, group chief executive officer, Jamaica Money Market Brokers (JMMB). Patrick Ellis has been added to the team.
Duncan replaces Richard Byles, who was unable to assume the position of chairman when Cabinet gave the approval, in December 2012, for the establishment of the CTET.
Unchanged members of the CTET are Joseph A Matalon, Linton Walters, Gary Peart, Walter Scott and Lloyd Duncan. The Committee will also include representatives from the Ministry of Finance, the Attorney General’s Chambers and the Development Bank of Jamaica.
The objective of the CTET is to attract private sector investment to build a modern, world-class racing complex with self-sustaining operations.
