SPF adds party to this year’s roster
NOW in its third year, promoters of the annual summer parties — SPF — have added another event to its Emancipation weekend line-up.
The event Bubbles BBq is now included on this year’s party roster which is scheduled from August 2 to 5. This sixth event will be staged at Jewel Resort in Runaway Bay, St Ann, on the final day.
Safi James, a member of the organising team, told the Jamaica Observer that efforts are being made to improve the offerings to patrons this year.
“They say third time is a charm, so this year we are going all out to ensure that patrons at all our events experience what we have been known to offer and more,” said James, at the launch at Fiction nightclub in St Andrew on Tuesday.
Last year, organisers added the SPF Catamaran Cruise and the SPF Pool Party to the roster. James said it was their way of being true to their patrons.
“The new event is another way of spreading our wings. The Catamaran Cruise and the Pool Party, which were introduced last year, will also be improved in keeping with SPF standards,” James asserted.
Another feature of this year’s staging is the implementation of the ‘I’m Legal’ campaign which seeks to mitigate against underage drinking. As a result, patrons will have to go through age verification prior to purchasing season tickets. There will also be checkpoints for persons purchasing tickets at individual events.
The weekend of parties includes BNM Eye Candy, Fiction Beach, and the popular Soirée.
