Dear Doc – May 5
GARDENING
Dear Orchid Doc:
My ground orchids were doing so well, but recently I notice that the leaves are being burnt. I have no clue as to what could be causing it.
Can you help?

Dear HHG:
Spothoglottis (the botanical name) loves the cooler areas of your garden. That aside, there are several reasons for the orchid to have burnt leaves, such as:
1 The sun could have shifted on your orchids.
2 Your insecticide probably was a bit too strong.
3 If the burn is working its way inwards, you’re using too much fertiliser.
