Two drown in St Ann on Labour Day
OCHO RIOS, Jamaica —A 12-year-old boy was one of two people who drowned in St Ann on Labour Day, Thursday, May 23.
Damian Dale of Roaring River in the parish was among four people on a jet ski at the Pearly Beach in Ocho Rios when it overturned at about 12:45 pm.
The youngster reportedly got into difficulty and drowned. He was taken to the St Ann’s Bay Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
In the second incident, 25-year-old welder Jermaine Harper of Portmore, St Catherine had reportedly gone with friends to the Calby’s River in Thatch Hill when he got into difficulties. He was taken to the St Ann’s Bay Hospital where he too was pronounced dead.
