Accused in beheading of 4-y-o faces court today

FALMOUTH, Trelawny — Marvia Patterson, the woman charged with murder in the death of four-year-old Natasha Brown, will appear in the Falmouth Resident Magistrate’s Court today to answer to the charge.

Patterson, 42, was taken into police custody last week Tuesday, following the shocking revelation by teachers at the Duanvale Basic School, where Natasha attended, that she did not report to school that day.

It is alleged that Patterson was the last person seen in the company of the girl before she went missing.

It is also alleged that Patterson severed the head of Natasha, and later dumped the body, and head in a 25-foot sinkhole in the rural Duanvale farming community.
