GraceKennedy salutes Corina Meeks
THE GraceKennedy Group mourns the passing of Corina Meeks, who worked with the organisation for an extended period as communications advisor and consultant.
Her work with the company began in the mid-1980s, when Carlton Alexander was chairman and CEO.
“She was a tremendous guide for us. She was knowledgeable and insightful. But even more important, she was a warm, lovely human being,” said Group CEO Don Wehby.
Wehby worked closely with Meeks, whom he credited with having a firm hand in his development as an executive. “She really gave me some good guidance and training. I consider myself really blessed to have worked with her. All of us here who had the privilege of knowing her, will miss her very dearly,” Webhy said in a statement yesterday.
“We are grateful for the guidance she gave and the expertise she imparted. Our hearts go out to her family and friends and our thoughts and prayers are with them. May her soul rest in eternal peace,” he added.
Meeks, a former CEO of the Jamaica Information Service, died last week.
