Two winners to go!
IT was an elated Dwayne Hinds who collected his gift package from Shannette Davids of Chad-Ad Distributors Limited, distributors of Maxxis tyres at the Jamaica Observer’s head office on Beechwood Avenue in St Andrew on Wednesday.
“I was surprised when I got the call. This is the first time I’ve won anything of this nature,” Hinds told Auto.
Hinds, the first male recipient, is one of two penultimate winners in the Maxxis tyre giveaway competition.
Already familiar with the Taiwanese brand, he was happy to find amongst his prizes a voucher giving him a $5,000 discount off any Maxxis tyre purchased at any of Chad-Ad’s two outlets. The outlets are located at Newport West and on Marcus Garvey Drive in St Andrew.
“I’m a regular reader of the Observer. I read the whole paper through all the time. I love the editorial cartoon and the Saturday sports, especially the horse racing,” Hinds added.
Donnette Rhooms-Henry was unable to make the presentation. She, however, asked her sister-in-law Maxine Henry-Clarke to collect the prize on her behalf. Henry-Clarke was one of last week’s winners.
“I encouraged her to enter the competition,” Henry-Clarke told Auto. “I even entered it again.”
Davids said she was pleased with the competition’s progress so far.
“The feedback from the contest is great. It’s allowing us to inform new customers on the Maxxis brand while allowing us to give back, as well,” Davids said.
Chad-Ad Distributors Ltd also distributes batteries and lubricants.
