daCosta Cup to feature 29 schools from Western Ja
MANDEVILLE, Manchester – Twenty-nine schools from western Jamaica are down to take part in this season’s ISSA daCosta Cup schoolboys football competition set to start on September 7th at the Montego Bay Sports Complex.
At last week’s daCosta Cup planning meeting held in Mandeville, Manchester, it was heard that just under 30 schools from the western end of the island would take part in the Island’s biggest football competition that will see 84 schools taking part from 12 parishes.
Former champions Herbert Morrison Technical will play in Zone C for the first time after being moved from Zone B where they played last year, swapping places with Hopewell High who played in Zone B last year. Black River will play in Zone D along with the Westmoreland schools while Newell High return to Zone E.
Anchovy High that did not take part last year will also return this season and will play in Zone A.
