Another Hollywood actor invest in Caribbean cricket
Following hot on the heels of American actor Mark Wahlberg’s investment in Barbados Trident cricket team comes the news that Jamaica Tallawah no has the backing of Irish actor Gerard Butler.
Tallawah is one of six teams created for the inaugural season of the Limocol-sponsored Caribbean Premier League.
According to contactmusic.com the 43-year-old scottish actor after being introduced to the event by his friend Ajmal Khan, founder of the Limacol CPL.
“I’ve had the opportunity to watch some of the matches. It is obvious that this tournament is the home of the greatest party in sport so I wanted to get in on the fun. As a Scotsman, I definitely have an appreciation of cricket,” Butler was quoted as saying in the article.
Butler has appeared in several movies including the James Bond flick Tomorrow Never Dies and How To Train You Dragon.
