Vaz in Court today

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Member of Parliament for West Portland, Daryl Vaz, is due to appear in the Half- Way-Tree Criminal Court today Wednesday, September 4.

Vaz is charged with breaching Section 14 of the Corruption Prevention Act.

Vaz was charged last year along with businessman, Bruce Bicknell, and Senior Superintendent of Police James Forbes after police accused Bicknell of attempting to bribe an officer during a traffic stop.

Allegations are that Vaz and SSP Forbes later attempted to get the officer to drop the traffic charges.
