One killed 40 arrested as police operations continue downtown Kingston
KINGSTON, Jamaica — One person was fatally shot, one illegal gun seized, 40 people in custody as Police continue operations in downtown, Kingston.
The Police are confirming that one person has been fatally shot, one illegal revolver seized, several rounds of illegal ammunition seized and 40 persons were taken into custody as the security forces continue their operational initiative in Downtown Kingston early this morning.
Head of the Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) DSP Steve Brown said the 40 persons in custody will be processed during the course of today by detectives from the Criminal Investigation Branch. The DSP also confirmed that over 100 members of the security forces were engaged in the operations. Also seized on the operation thus far were a magazine and a ski mask.
