Vanity Fair confirms Paltrow feature WILL run despite backlash

People Post

Gwyneth Paltrow is anxiously preparing for her rather public undoing — and unfortunately for the star, there’s no one to blame but herself.

The Oscar-winner started a feud with Vanity Fair magazine back in May when she circulated an email to her famous pals warning them to steer clear of the publication after learning they were set to run an unauthorised feature on her.

But far from backing down due to the backlash, editor Graydon Carter has revealed during a recent interview with The Times of London that the star’s high and mighty reaction to the rumoured article has “sort of forced my hand”.

“We started a story on her. We have a very good writer and it’ll run,” he confirms of what Us Weekly reports is expected to be an ‘epic takedown’. Seemingly unfazed by the actress’s reluctance to be featured in the glossy mag – on which she was originally asked to collaborate – Carter is now more determined than ever that the story will run. It’s been reported that back in May, the star composed a letter to friends after taking offence to the harder edge the magazine is taking towards Hollywood’s elite.

“Vanity Fair is threatening to put me on the cover of their magazine,” she wrote. “If you are asked for quotes or comments, please decline. Also, I recommend you all never do this magazine again.”

According to The Times, Gwyneth, who has two children with Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin, is one of a number of celebrities who have found issue with recent ‘unflattering’ articles about Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. Last year, Cruise’s lawyer, Bert Fields, issued a statement following the publication of the profile which delved into Scientology’s role in the demise of the star’s marriage to Katie Holmes.

“Anyone associated with this sleazy story should be ashamed of themselves – not just for publishing lies, but also for being unoriginal, sloppy and dull,” Fields told E! Online.

The bra that comes with TWO bodyguards

Walking in the annual Victoria’s Secret show, which is watched by millions of people worldwide, is already considered the greatest honour in lingerie modelling. But not only will Candice Swanepoel strut her stuff as an Angel in this year’s showcase, she will also carry $10m (£6.2m) worth of bling around her bust.

The 23-year-old will take to the catwalk wearing the iconic Royal Fantasy Bra and Belt designed exclusively for Victoria’s Secret by world-renowned jeweller Mouawad. The Royal Fantasy Bra and matching belt are adorned with over 4,200 precious gems from around the world including rubies, diamonds, and yellow sapphires. Hand- set in 18-carat gold, the bra also features a 52-carat, pear-shaped centre ruby.

This is the first time Candice has been given the honour of wearing a Victoria’s Secret Fantasy Bra and she follows in the footsteps of industry heavyweights Miranda Kerr, Tyra Banks, Gisele Bündchen, Heidi Klum, Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima and Claudia Schiffer.
