In a contest between two newcomers, hosts Angels blanked Supersonic 3-0 in a rescheduled women’s match Monday night, as the JTTA National Table Tennis Club League continued at Angels in Spanish Town.

After this result, Angels lead the three-team points standing with maximum eight points, ahead of Supersonic on four points and Infinity on three points.

Angels have played all four of their matches to complete their fixtures, while Supersonic and Infinity each have one match remaining against each other. The top two finishers at the end of the home and away fixtures will advance to semi-finals. UWI withdrew from the league after playing a few matches.

In individual results Monday night, Kelice Sinclair turned back Vanessa Moo Young 9-11, 15-13, 11-5, 11-5 (3-1), and national champion Yvonne Foster defeated Shenique Clare 9-11, 11-5, 11-4, 11-6 (3-1) in singles triumphs for Angels.

Foster teamed with Dadrian Lewis in doubles to outplay Clare and Chinelle Miller 11-3, 11-8, 8-11, 11-8 (3-1) to secure the third win for Angels.

Angels are coached by Richard Davidson, Supersonic by Peter Daley and Infinity by Konata Beluchi.

The league continues next week.
