Dear Editor,

Because political parties and their leaders exist to serve the people, I think it is in the best interest of the people to have the most suitable leader.

Not only as a student of political science, but for someone who has been around at the time when both the People’s National Party and the Jamaica Labour Party came into existence, and has experienced all the leaders and aspirants, I give my unreserved support for the current leader of the Jamaica Labour Party, Andrew Holness to continue as leader.

Mr Audley Shaw is to be retained as shadow minister of finance, as the country ought to be very impressed with his tenure as both minister of finance and shadow minister.

I do not believe in the divine right of kings, but I do believe that God made everyone of us for a purpose and so that is why the young man Andrew Holness was made leader when Audley Shaw was there, and Audley Shaw, minister in the sphere of finance as God fulfills Himself in many ways.
