Mackie Conscious drops new video

MONTEGO BAY, St James — VETERAN Montego Bay roots rock reggae singer Mackie Conscious recently launched a video to support his latest single, Plant Some Trees.

The music video was released late last month on YouTube.com.

The track which is laid on a one-drop beat, encourages the local production of food for domestic consumption as opposed to the heavy reliance of imported food items.

“One way to preserve humanity is to think about survival; do this in a haste. Food crisis is on the horizon…plant some trees…plant some seeds; it’s time to start a mission.

IMF is not the solution. We need this revolution; we control our destiny. The only solution is production, the solution is the science of self-reliance,” states a portion of the song.

Plant Some Trees is a follow-up to the conscious singer’s collaborative effort with Jamaican-born Australian reggae artiste Jimmy Trench Town who recorded a cover of Sam Cooke’s classic, Wonderful World.

Meanwhile, Mackie Conscious is confident that Plant Some Trees will boost his already impressive catalogue which includes, Leave the Crumbs Alone, What If and The World is in Trouble.
