Tastee Finalists Told Now The Hard Work Begins
Speaking to the Final ten who made it through to the December 12 Finals of the Tastee Talent Trail, judge Micheal ‘Ibo’ Copper stressed the need to pay attention to their vocal coach during Grooming.
“It is vital for a singer to understand proper breathing while performing as well as handling the mike. It is now that the hard work really begins,” Cooper said.
Cooper was speaking to the lucky ten (10) which included nine singers and a dance group backstage at last Thursday’s Semi Final staging of the 2013 talent contest.
After two rounds of keen competition the top ten were selected which comprised one (1) dance group and nine (9) singers. For the first time in decades of the thirty four year old contest there is no room for a D.J. at the Grand Finals which ironically was won by a D.J. Anthony Clarke last year.

Judges Micheal “Ibo” Cooper, Queen Ifrica, and Kerry Ann Lawrence gave the pass into the finals to three females and seven males. Those gearing up for the chance to take home the top prize of $1 Million at the December 12 Grand Finals are: Johnell Mathews, Elton Earlington, Dean McGowan, Kevrol Diah, Ricardo Barrett, Black Dice Dancers, Kerry-Ann Miller, Dane Williams and Jermaine Bryan a third time finalist who will be hoping the third time will be the charm.
Early crowd favourites in the contest sponsored in 2013 by Tastee, Pepsi, T-Shirt Express, Sparkles, and Kosmo Tours are Elton Earlington, Ricardo Barrett, Marsha Lee Guthrie, Jermaine Bryan and Black Dice Dancers the others have work to do as they embark on the second phase of the Grooming and Band Rehearsals.
Nerves got the better of many persons as the confidence level showed at Grooming sessions was absent this due mainly to the large crowd and big stage atmosphere.
Among those who were victims to this were kerriann Tiwien, Amori Nelson, Keliesha Simmonds and Andre Francis.
Female D.J. Nikita Connelley and Moesha Kinkead were guilty of trying too hard and the former came across too lewd for a family setting. M.C. for the evening was Elva.
