Jr Gong, Wayne Marshall, Agent Sasco musical inferno at Kingston waterfront
KINGSTON, Jamaica – In almost a replica of their performance at the recent Shaggy and Friends concert, Damian ‘Jr Gong’ Marley, Agent Sasco, Wayne Marshall and his eight-year-old song Giomar ignited downtown Kingston at Tessanne Chin’s homecoming celebration Sunday night.
It was Wayne Marshall that started the musical inferno by paying tribute to the ‘Good ole Wife’.
Then he invited Giomar centrestage for their collaboration on ‘Stupid Money’. The crowd looked on in awe as the youngster skilfully did the lyrics to not only the chorus but the verses of the song, originally done by his father and Agent Sasco.
Continuing their set, Marshall diverted into the Go Hard medley and the audience was surprised by the entrance of Jr Gong. Lighters ignited and horns were blown at their loudest as the international reggae artist sing-jayed his verse followed by his ‘Welcome to Jamrock’.
After Wayne Marshall and Gong’s exit, Agent Sasco captivated the large crowd with his hits such as ‘Hand ina de Air’ and ‘Nutten at all’.
Earlier in the evening Christopher Martin had everyone, especially the females, hanging on to his every word as he hurled out a string of hit songs including ‘Mama’, ‘Chillspot’, ‘Take my Wings’ and ‘Cheaters Prayer’.
After Martin’s intimate performance reggae singer Jah Cure was welcomed to the stage by deafening screams. His set was also dedicated to the females as he belted out ‘Only You’, ‘Find that Girl’ and ‘Unconditional Love’.
