Two killed in fiery Williamsfield highway crash
MANCHESTER, Jamaica— Police are reporting that two people died in a fiery crash on the Williamsfield leg of the PJ Patterson Highway (Highway 2000) Saturday morning.
The crash which happened about 3:45 am in the vicinity of St Toolies and involved a Toyota Noah.
Police said the vehicle was travelling in the eastbound lane and while negotiating a right curve slammed head-on in a concrete retaining wall off the left road edge.
The vehicle became engulfed in flames and the driver and a passenger who in the front of the Noah were burnt beyond recognition.
The charred remains have since been removed to the morgue.
