More damning texts in Kartel murder trial

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Following the revelation of damning texts in the Vybz Kartel murder trial Monday more texts between victim Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams and his girlfriend were read in court on Tuesday.

On Monday the court heard texts between Williams and his girlfriend Onieka Jackson, sent on August 16, 2011, the day when it is alleged Williams was killed by Kartel and his associates over the disappearance of a gun.

As the revelation continued Tuesday, in a text Williams messaged his girlfriend: “baby im shaking so badly in nervous jeff jus catch mi on my phone but i don’t care he is going to pin me.”

A reply from Jackson at 7:26 pm: ok baby i cant concentrate rite now jus be cool and talk to g normal im trying to get Nadine phone no ansa gonna call bebesha.”

Williams responded at 7:28: “please hurry mi soon reach babes”

That was the end of their communication, according to information provided to the court by Corporal Shawn Brown.

However texts from co-accused Shawn ‘Shawn Storm’ Campbell on the following day, August 17, and also on the 18 were read in court.

Kartel (Adijah Palmer) is on trial along with co accused Campbell for the August 16 murder of Williams

Vybz Kartel (Adidja Palmer), Campbell, Shane Williams, Andre St John, and Kahira Jones are being tried for the murder Williams believed to be committed on August 16, 2011 at Havendale in St Andrew. All the men belong to the ‘Gaza Empire’ based in Portmore, St Catherine.
