Butler Cabin makes strong statement

FROM THE HORSES MOUTH

Butler Cabin another offspring of Adore The Gold turned in quite an impressive performance on Sunday last. Ridden by Shane Ellis and trained by Anthony Nunes, Butler Cabin after making his debut in November of last year, returned to the racetrack among his three-year-old peers and won convincingly over the five straight course by over five lengths in a good time of 58.3 seconds. The win showed significant improvement and the dark bay gelding is surely one to watch as the Classic season begins to bubble.

MAN ALIVE WINS FIRST TIME IN ALLOWANCE COMPANY

Man Alive has had his problems in the past with injuries and other setbacks which has limited his racing career. Now a five-year-old Man Alive has only been able to start eight times during which he has been able to win five times including a win last Sunday in the George HoSang trophy over the five straight in Allowance Company. Ridden by his regular rider, Dane Nelson, Man Alive was just able to get the better of tried and proven campaigners, Traditional Prince who finished second and Lady Like. Man Alive has thus far proven to be the best of the horses sired by the great Miracle Man. Kudos to trainer Richard Azan and his team.

‘TONY’ IS TALENTED

Two wins from three career starts is the win record of the Lorne Kirlew trained three-year-old bay gelding Talented Tony K. In the Sir Howard Stakes one of the major preparation races for the upcoming Classic races (limited to three-year-old), Talented Tony K put away his five rivals with disdain by winning, going away over six furlongs by four and a half lengths. It was indeed a most noteworthy performance by the progeny of Traditional – Ocean Liner and he should be one to watch as the countdown really starts for the 2,000 Guineas set for early April.

CAYMANAS LIVE

The new promotional effort by Caymanas Track Limited (CTL) sponsored by McKay Security Company, Caymanas Live, gets underway next Wednesday, February 26 at Caymanas Park.

The featured artiste on the first show is the popular I-Octane. Performances will be intermingled between races on the day.
