Ardenne High and Innswood will meet in a top-of-the-table clash in Zone E of the ISSA/KFC/Locker-room Sports schoolgirl football competition second-leg round of matches today.

Both teams are in good form and are currently locked on 12 points each, with Ardenne leading the pack by a one-goal difference, having scored 13 goals to Innswood’s 12.

Third-placed Wolmer’s (eight points), will play at home to fifth-placed Spanish Town (four points), and if victorious, will keep the top two honest leading up to the second round.

The other Zone E game between Tarrant High and Edith Dalton James has been postponed.

Zone C leaders Lennon High (10 points), having already qualified alongside Christiana High, should return to action on a winning note when they play away to fourth-placed Garvey Maceo (three points), while third-placed Mile Gully (three points) should claim their second win of the season when they tackle Glenmuir High, who are yet to gain a point and are rooted at the bottom of the five-team table.

Excelsior High (15 points) have already qualified for the second round, and should continue their rich vein of form and make it six from six in Zone F, when they welcome fifth-placed Immaculate Conception (three points). Second-placed Jonathan Grant (12 points) will battle thrid-placed Tivoli High (nine points), while the Bridgeport versus Campion College game will be played at a later date.

The tightly bunched Zone A, will see leaders Rusea’s High (nine points) playing at home to second-placed St James (eight points), while third-placed Spot Valley (seven points), should move up the ranks when the play away to cellar dwellers Montego Bay High (two points). Fourth-placed Muschett High (six points) will tackle Westwood High at a later date, as the game has been postponed.
