Police investigate Portmore double murder

ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – The police say they are now investigating the shooting death of two men on Dyke Road in Portmore, St Catherine on Friday.

The deceased have been identified as 68-year-old contractor Livingston Garvey and 26-year-old construction worker Mario Cross, both of Cherry district, Kitson Town in the parish.

Reports from the Caymanas police are that about 5:30 pm, residents heard explosions and summoned them. When the lawmen got to the location, Cross was reportedly seen lying in a pool of blood beside a motor car while Garvey’s body was found some distance away from Cross.

Both men had multiple gunshot wounds.
