THE stewards of the Jamaica Racing Commission announce the following disciplinary actions arising from inquiries held on Tuesday, March 11.

Jockey Shane Ellis who rode Frankenstorm in the first race on Saturday, February 15, was fined $4,000.00 for interference caused to Power By Light leaving the 100 metre point.

Jockey Percival Williams who rode War Hero in the fifth race on Sunday, January 26, was fined $6,000.00 for the intimidation and interference caused to Zanzibar leaving the 200 metre point and Ladylike in the ninth race on Sunday, February 16, $10,000.00 for the interference caused to Traditional Prince in the vicinity of the 200 metre point.

Jockey Omar Walker, who rode Country Train in the third race on Saturday, February 1, was cautioned for his failure to report to the stewards the problems he experienced with his mount in the race, having failed to persevere sufficiently with his mount in the last 300 metres.

Jockey Dick Cardenas who rode Silver Sand in the seventh race on Sunday, January 26, was fined $4,000.00 for the interference caused to Burning Cielo leaving the 200 metre point.

Jockey Jevvanne Erwin who rode Anarkali in the fourth race on Sunday, January 26, was fined $8,000.00 for intimidation and interference caused to Misty and Herecomestrouble in the vicinity of the 500 metre point.

Jockey Rayan Wilson who rode Tudor Dynasty in the tenth race on Saturday, February 1, was fined $10,000.00 for intimidation and interference caused to Prematuree leaving the 800 metre point.

Jockey Ryan Nelson who rode Mentalist in the tenth race on Saturday, February 1, was cautioned for the interference caused to He’sthereal Links and Tudor Dynasty in the vicinity of the 700 metre point.
