MONA School of Business and Management together with the Jamaica Institute of Financial Services hosted the Middle Management Development Programme 2014, under the heading “Converting Strategy into Action For Superior Results in the Financial Services Sector” at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel.

The two day-workshop took place on March 13 and 14,2014. Financial institutions in Jamaica must find creative ways to navigate the many challenges, including the spiralling currency devaluation, the impact of the National Debt Exchange (NDX), regulatory pressure and the influence of overseas institutions such as the International Monetary Fund.

It has therefore become imperative that middle managers in these financial institutions develop enhanced competencies in analytical thinking, innovation, customer focus and relationships. The two-day workshop was designed to help middle managers in the financial services sector develop tools and techniques to boost company performance.
