KINGSTON, Jamaica – West Indies reached a struggling 129 for 7 against India in their World Twenty20 Championship match at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Bangladesh on Sunday.

Danger man Chris Gayle was run out for 34 off 33 balls with the Wndies on 66 for 2 in the 13th over.

Marlon Samuels cut a ball to point and set off, Gayle responded but had no chance as Mohammed Shami fielded sharply and threw to MS Dhoni who completed the run out.

Samuels went on to make 18 stumped by Dhoni off spinner Amit Mishra. Mishra also took the wicket of Dwayne Bravo lbw for a duck.

Earlier Windies opener Dwayne Smith as caught and bowled by Ravi Ashwin for 11.

Captain Darren Sammy was out caught for 11off Ravindra Jadeja in the 17th over.

India won the toss and elected to field keeping the Windies batsmen in check with tight bowling throughout.
