Digicel ‘LinkUp’ customers in MoBay
MONTEGO BAY, St James – Telecommunications provider, Digicel, reached out to its data-keen customers in Montego Bay on Saturday with the second session in its interactive ‘Data Linkup’ series.
In a bid to help customers understand how to maximise mobile data while getting the most out of their smartphones, Digicel launched the hands-on initiative in Kingston which allows customers to talk to a data expert and have all their questions about data addressed. The series is an extension of Digicel’s 4Genius programme, which was designed specifically to provide a superior level of customer service relevant to meeting its customers’ data needs.
Commenting on the session, Digicel’s Distribution Director Patrick King said, “It has been said time and time again that data is the future, but the truth is, data is now and will continue to drive our mobile interactions going forward. With this knowledge, it is very important that we ensure that our customers are kept abreast of technology trends and advancements so they can maximize how they connect with the world around them.”
It was evident that customers who attended the Link Up session in Montego Bay were interested in understanding how to fully utilise the mobile data capabilities of their smartphones and the Digicel data experts were more than willing to assist.
Kimberly Creary and Byron Small were among the customers who attended the session held at the telecom’s retail store in Fairview and both agreed that this is a needed and novel initiative by Digicel.
“For me, I use my smartphone a lot so I always have questions about my data. This was a lot of fun; it’s very informative because you get to find out a lot about the plans and what kind of apps you can use,” said Creary.
Small said the session was very informative.
“I was very informative for me especially because I go on Facebook and on the Internet to do a lot of things. The Digicel staff members are also very helpful when you come to the store,” she argued.
The next stop for Digicel’s Data Linkup series will be in Ocho Rios where more customers will have their data-related queries addressed.
