THE KGN8 nightclub at Villa Ronai, Old Stony Hill Road in St Andrew, is the venue for tonight’s Colour Festival pre-party.

Patrons attending will get a free Skyy Vodka survival kit and can get a leg up before the actual event at Hope Gardens in St Andrew, tomorrow at 4:00 pm.

The kit will include powder satchels, T-shirts, sunglasses and powder coats to enhance the festival’s experience.

“The reason for us bringing the Colour Festival is that it’s brand-new and it has never been done here,” said Safia Cooper, event organiser and Pulse’s director of sales and marketing, at the launch.

Cooper said Pulse Investments partnered with Elara Entertainment to bring the international music festival to Jamaica.

Headquartered in Spain, Elara Entertainment designs and organises multiple large-scale outdoor music festivals throughout Europe.

With similar events held in Latin America, United States and Europe, the festival is a global party which sees patrons enjoying the message of happiness and throwing coloured powder in the air.

Sunday’s event will feature inclusive drinks from Skyy Vodka and Appleton Estate while patrons rock out to music sets from Richie D, DJ Sanjay and Kurt Riley. International DJ Kyle Desouza will join the three locals. As promised at the launch, Pulse will be adding their own flavour to the event by extending the range of music beyond (Electronic Dance Music) EDM, which the overseas stagings are known for, to include dancehall, soca and pop.
